Pedelec prototype with HettlageVariator on Eurobike exhibition

Visitors of this years Eurobike exhibition in Friedrichshafen (Germany) might catch a glimpse of the latest application of the HettlageVariator. The Japanese manufacturer Sunstar Engineering Inc. is displaying a bicycle equipped with their ibike pedelec motor using the HettlageVariator for transmission.

The Eurobike is one of the largest international bicycle exhibitions and is held this year for the 20th time. It will end on Saturday, 3rd of September. On the last day the exhibition is open for private visitors.

WTR 2010 report #6: The scores of the day [UPDATE]

[UPDATE]: The scores shown here were not used to determine the winners of the race, since Sunday brought wind velocities above 5 m/s.

The organizing team of the race has provided us the scores of today’s race. We are posting them here although the results of today’s and yesterday’s runs might not be counted in the final evaluation since the rules of competition require a minimum wind velocity of 5 m/s. Read more …

Our third day at the site of the Wind Turbine Race has begun. Most teams have spent many hours last night to make adjustments and fine ups on their vehicles.
