Wind Turbine Race 2010
This year’s Wind Turbine Race will be held at Stauning airport in Denmark from September 24th to 26th. Among the participating teams is InVentus, a student project at the university of Stuttgart (Germany).
At the yearly event, teams from all over Europe compete against each other in a race of wind-powered vehicles, that can drive upwind. The InVentus team has attended the race in passed years with great success. This year is their first time to participate with their new vehicle equipped with a double HettlageVariator transmission system. The HettlageVariator allows to shift gears while the turbine is under full wind.
